Online Video Center (OVC) is a WEB-Based Media Management and Control Center that allows the use and management of video content via a web based interface and delivery of broadband video across the local area as well as the wide area network. The system supports management via an internet interface and control of all popular media including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, VHS and DVD. The system allows users to log in and browse all the video content, reserve videos and provide for full interactive control of video. The T1001 Online Video Center has Advanced Graphical Interactive Scheduling (AGIS) built in. The AGIS system displays daily schedule availability for video and players. AGIS will display a green bar where the video may be scheduled. AGIS uses copyright control to manage multiple usage of a video title and will not allow reservation of a video beyond the number of available copies. The system also preemptively selects the next appropriate available media player for the video reservation.

Reservations are broken up into two viewing palettes. The Public Schedule will display all system reservations for any day, while My Schedule will display only the reservations associated with the logged in user. The user can manage all of their reservations. They can add and delete entries. The user can also control the reserved video right from Online Video Center! OVC provides Full Interactive Control of video based on a realistic media player associated with that video. For instance, when a user brings up control for a VHS tape, the system will graphically display a fully functional VCR. This feature gives the system a comfortable and natural interface.

Digital Video Storage - Scalable Sizable from 50-10,000 hrs
Because the needs of every school are unique, our software allows the digital video servers to be completely customizable and configured on a per-site / per-district level. Since the provided media server is rack mounted, it offers extra slots that can receive additional hard drives thus allowing for digital video storage. The number of digital video storage hours is determined in increments of fifty and truly has no limitations to the number of digital video hours that can be configured.

Delivery - LAN / WAN Desk Top, Video Distribution Network TV's
All digitized video can be delivered over the LAN, WAN, or broadcast over the dedicated video distribution network. The T1001 offers the flexibility allowing the transfer of digital video on-demand without negatively affecting the Local Data Network. Our technicians assess and make recommendations as to the number of simultaneous LAN / WAN users that will be permitted based on the actual bandwidth available for digital video users.

Control - HTML LAN / WAN Video Control
Our dynamic HTML user interface enables the control of all popular media types, which include digital-formats MPEG-1 & MPEG-2, VHS, Laser Disc Players, and DVD Players, etc. This configuration can also be referred to as a Hybrid System as it supports both analog as well as current digital video formats. This hybrid approach allows schools to use their existing analog video library while digitally encoding frequently used content, thus making it available in real time and on-demand.
