While our children have grown up with many different forms of visual media, whether through video games or educational programming, educators haven’t had the resources or training to stay current with the learning trends of our children and adapting our teaching styles to meet their needs. We, at Teradon, focus on the education of our children with the most current and up-to-date technology to help our teachers accomplish this goal. The use of video and other forms of multi-media have been used as fillers and relief for the teachers to prepare for their next class. But the use of video as an interactive tool is truly a new teaching philosophy. We have to embrace this philosophy so we can meet the needs of our children. As educators, if we do not stay current with technology, we fall behind exponentially with our teaching capabilities and efficiency with the technology we have. Media Management Systems are the most current trend in educational purchases because they allow us to be more interactive with our media presentations, free us from chalkboards and overhead projectors, while allowing us to utilize technology in an effective manor. The use of multiple forms of technology has been proven to raise test scores, increase attendance, and provide better job placement as seen in a study conducted by the US Department of Education. We MUST make changes in the way we approach teaching our children today to give them every chance to succeed.
